Heating Instructions

Microwave

  • Wrap each tamale in a damp paper towel and place in a microwave safe plate.
  • Microwave for 60-75 seconds or until minimum temperature of 165°F is achieved.
  • If tamale is frozen, microwave 1 additional minute or until minimum temperature of 165°F is achieved.
  • Remove from microwave and let stand 1 minute.
  • Remove tamale from sustainable wrap and enjoy.

CAUTION: Contents will be hot.

STOVE TOP

  • Place tamale in steamer basket over boiling water.
  • Steam 8-10 minutes or until minimum temperature of 165°F is achieved.
  • If tamale is frozen, steam for an additional 2 minutes or until minimum temperature of 165°F is achieved.
  • Remove from steam basket and let stand 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove tamale from sustainable wrap and enjoy.

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
  • Remove pouch from outer packaging. Place pouch on an oven-safe tray.
  • Puncture 2 small holes in the pouch to allow steam to escape.
  • Heat in the oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the core temperature reaches a minimum of 165°F (74°C).

Combi oven

  • Preheat convection oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • Puncture 2 small holes in the pouch to allow steam to escape.
  • Heat for 15–18 minutes, or until the core temperature reaches a minimum of 165°F (74°C).
  • Carefully remove from oven. Open pouch cautiously due to hot steam and serve.
