Heating Instructions

Microwave

  • In a microwave safe tray/plate heat on high for 1.5 minutes.
  • Rotate the pouch half turn, puncture 2 small holes in the pouch, and cover with a paper towel.
  • Heat on high an additional 3 minutes or until core temperature reaches a minimum of 165 ˚F.
  • Open bag carefully, and empty contents into serving tray.

CAUTION: Contents will be hot.
NOTE: Microwave oven vary in rates of heating, times given are approximate.

STOVE TOP

  • Heat a medium size skillet over medium-low heat.
  • Empty Del Real Foods® Carnitas from pouch and place in skillet with 1/4 cup of water.
  • Separate the pork carnitas with a spoon and spread evenly across the skillet.
  • Cover and heat for 5-6 minutes or until 165, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve and enjoy.

CAUTION: Contents will be hot.

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
  • Remove pouch from outer packaging. Place pouch on an oven-safe tray.
  • Puncture 2 small holes in the pouch to allow steam to escape.
  • Heat in the oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the core temperature reaches a minimum of 165°F (74°C).

Combi oven

  • Preheat convection oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • Puncture 2 small holes in the pouch to allow steam to escape.
  • Heat for 15–18 minutes, or until the core temperature reaches a minimum of 165°F (74°C).
  • Carefully remove from oven. Open pouch cautiously due to hot steam and serve.
